Difference between Involuntary Actions and Reflex Actions:
Involuntary Actions:
- These are actions that happen automatically without our control.
- Controlled by the brain.
- Example: Beating of the heart, breathing, digestion.
- They are slow and continuous.
Reflex Actions:
- These are quick and automatic responses to a stimulus.
- Controlled by the spinal cord.
- Example: Pulling hand away from a hot object.
- They are sudden and protective.
